Rachel Magdalen Lange is a freelance materials designer/developer and consultant with a passion for language learning. She blends skills from her BFA in Fine Arts (Alfred University), and her MA in Applied Linguistics (University of Pittsburgh) to form an approach to materials design that is equal parts science and aesthetics. In addition to Materials Development, her research interests include Vocabulary Acquisition, Language Assessment, and Learner Training. Her materials development and teaching are equally informed by her experiences as a language learner, which include attempts at Polish, Arabic, French and German. She currently serves as Level One Academic Coordinator for the University General Requirements Unit at United Arab Emirates University.
